Who
We Are
Barnstead Fire-Rescue is a
group of dedicated individuals proudly providing emergency
services to the residents and business owners and business
owners of Barnstead, New Hampshire. Currently, we have 8
Officers, 6 full-time staff members and several Per Diem staff
members serving as Firefighters/EMTs and approximately 28 call
members. Their backgrounds range from American Red Cross
First Responders to Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedics, and
many have achieved their Firefighter Level I and/or Firefighter
Level II certification. Our members continue to train
regularly in fire, medical emergency and rescue training - both
in-house and through the New Hampshire Fire Academy in Concord,
along with other resources - to remain proficient in their
skills and to address new and current concerns in the field of
emergency services.
Mission Statement
The mission of Barnstead
Fire-Rescue is to provide the highest level of service to
protect life, property, and the environment through efficient
and effective response to ALL calls for assistance including
fire, medical, rescue, and hazardous materials emergencies and
other natural and man-made disasters, that are delivered 24
hours a day by highly trained professionals, both volunteer and
career, who serve with excellence, dedication, and pride.

Over the past several years, the
number of requests for responses to emergency services has
increased annually, with the exception of a minimal decrease in
2004, and is projected to increase as our community continues to
